Golden Acre Park LEEDS UK
Golden Acre Park is without doubt one of the most popular recreational open spaces in Leeds, being hugely popular with visitors from far and wide, who come to marvel at the natural beauty it offers. Opened in 1932 it was first developed as a large amusement park, complete with rowing boats, miniature railway, open air swimming pool and even hydroplane racing, which was once a regular feature of park life in years gone by. Today the park covers over 100 acres of landscaped gardens surrounding a magnificent ornamental lake and is home to many species of mammal and wildfowl. It also offers free parking and a pleasant cafe for your refreshment.
